Parallel mounting

Seems as good as more familiar brands

I'm using this to replace a similarly sized Stanley unit on an ourdoor security gate. This particular gate is wrought iron, and though I don't have a way to readily weigh it, is very likely at the upper end of that this closer was meant to handle.

That said, it's been working fine for about three weeks so far. As promised, it mounted easily to the existing holes from the Stanley unit (top jamb installation in my case).

It comes with a decent variety of fasteners for wood doors, metal frames, and so on.

Once installed, the swing and shut speeds adjust easily and smoothly using the screws on the end, just as they would on any other unit.

It seems to be handling the weight of my gate well. Since mine is installed outdoor, in the weather, I'll update this review as needed if the finish seems to degrade or weather prematurely.
